Island Grill

Love love love their oxtail. I think it’s hands down the best oxtail in the city!They are so tender and tasty I would strongly recommend you to try them. They have a nice big dine in space and their service is pretty good aswell. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone asking me where to eat in the city!

Not a very good experience with this restaurant, customer service is very poor..I don't normally do reviews but this was so horrible I had to leave one.. You need to learn customer service and know how to handle situations, you cannot tell a paying customer you don't have time for them and they're wasting your time on the phone, also telling a customer you didn't explain your menu because it makes your job easier is horrible and you should not be on the front line.We've had issues here when we want to order certain items and it not being available but still return back but this has definitely gone too far now, please get some customer service training

Great service by a young lady. She was courteous and eagerly explained the food menu. I ordered pork jerky with coleslaw. The food was delicious in a decent serving size although a bit pricey for me for $20. Ample parking at the rear. The restaurant is clean with a good ambiance.

Delicious food. Fresh smoothies. You can smell the food walking by like you are in the carriabean. Great representation and the staff are kind and friendly. Must try the jerk chicken and sweet potatoe pie.

Food is unpresentable. Waste of my money. You guys need to get food box that separates rice from meat.. not every one likes the meat on the rice and you rip people off by laying this thick bed of rice in the box and just spinkle a small amount of meat on the top, i was so grossed out. Just ridiculous but you know what its my own fault said I wasnt gonna buy food there anymore and still went ahead and did. Smh

From a Jamaican I can vouch that this plastic is about as authentic as it gets. This is an outstanding place for anyone from the Caribbean craving a taste of home. The dishes are served in a creative and appetizing configuration.

Food is AMAZING and fresh and the “Spicy patties” are almost to die for 🤤😅 ... It goes without saying, you don’t need to be Jamaican to appreciate good food 😊 ... Thank you #IllBeBack

Great Jamaican food

Jerk chicken here is incredible. Big portions, fresh ingredients. The service is excellent too. Very friendly staff. I always look forward to coming here when I'm nearby.

I used to go to this place weekly, but since they changed cooks / chefs, it got so much worse. The food is bland amd lacks the authentic "island" taste that it once carried. The staff which they previously had which were so inviting and welcoming have left and now the place with an emptiness. The food sucls and the prompt service is now horrible.

I am a repeat customer to this restaurant. The food is always authentic and taste is consistent. Have never been disappointed. Great staff always polite. As for price it is very reasonable considering you will get a full meal at Mcdonald's full of fat and salt for the same price.Live in north end of town and don't mind the drive for some curry goat and rice. I did mention i am a repeat customer.. See you guys soon

The food is pretty good here but if they say they have certain foods such as roti on their menu, they should have it ready and have at least a stock of it. My friend and I visited on Monday, June 10th and were told they had none until Friday or Saturday. If you want a successful restaurant, have these things on stock and ready to prepare for customers who expect what they order. Other than that, the food is just AWESOME!

Food is bland, they only have the same menu options daily even though they have an entire menu board of food options that they rarely make or serve. Over priced for mediocre food.

Service is always prompt and food is served in a timely manner.The food is very flavorful and delicious!

I personally think it’s the best Caribbean restaurant in Edmonton 😍😍but it’s way over price. My favourite is the rice and peas with stew pork, jerk chicken and Oxtail. My hubby love the curry groat roti and curry groat rice and peas.I tasted the BBQ chicken it’s not bad but I am not a fan of it. Haven’t tried anything else as yet, I don’t like fish so I won’t be trying that one.I went on a Sunday one time and the rice was too soft like it was left over from the night before, it tasted stale, BBQ chicken was also hard and dry but honestly their jerk chicken and stew pork best in Edmonton.

By far the BEST Caribbean food in Edmonton. Friendly and fast service. Been to many Caribbean restaurants since moving to Edmonton and haven’t been able to find food that tastes this good!!

How dose this place have good reviews at all?... it doesn’t ever have a full menu, they open before a Cook even gets there. Have 1 or 2 items Aval. Hours are shifty... the food itself is decent but terrible work ethic and for that reason, they will not get my $$ which is sad I work in the area and could have been a regular there.

Bland and overpriced for the quality you get.–Rice was mushy, overcooked, and bland. Seemed like it had been sitting all day and had dried out.–Curry goat was okay (a bit bland), but there were sharp little shards of bone in the sauce that we had to constantly pick around.–Jerk chicken had okay flavour, but no spice. It was also dry and overcooked.– Festival were dense, dry, and cold. They had been sitting in a warming case for a while.At $42 for takeout for two people, it's a complete ripoff. Go somewhere else.

I love this place. I can cook for myself but if I am eating out it needs to be worth it. You can call and pre order. Skip the dishes. The staff working are very friendly. Good atmosphere!!!

Bought three whole jerk chickens very tasty but disappointed because i got a mostly legs
